or anoxic brain damage. Excludes patients with ICD-9-CM procedure code for debridement or pedicle graft before or on the same day as the major operating room procedure. Excludes patients with a
diagnosis of hemiplegia, paraplegia,
or quadriplegia, patients in
MDC 9, obstetrical patients in MDC 14, and patients admitted from a long-term care
facility or transferred
from an acute care facility.
Excludes patients with
decubitus ulcer in the principal diagnosis field. Ages 18 years and older.
